Don't Go To...

from The One That Ended His Career by Glenn Case

lyrics

I'm inexperienced
In many languages
And, if I had the choice
I'd get a Babel fish
Because I'm uninspired
And I can't get it straight
But, I would like more ways
To communicate

My past can not be fixed
It's like spaghetti code
Written in C++
I just know basic, 'though
But, I have never learned
How complex programs run
So, if I had the chance
Here's what I would have done

CHORUS
10 PRINT "I LEARN THINGS SLOWLY"
20 DONT GOTO 10
MY MIND READS "SYNTAX ERROR"
I DO NOT COMPREHEND

I know the warning signs
From legends on the map
But, when I notice them
It's too late to adapt
So, I remember them
But, then I never know
I can't connect it all
To where I shouldn't go

So, paint an X on me
And you can mark the place
Where I am bound to fall
I'd recommend my face
I'll plant my head in soil
To grow like apple seeds
In case you're curious
Here's how my program reads:

(Repeat Chorus)

Proofread me please
But, don't expose the facts to me
I don't wanna know why
Everything is not right
If you must, I will listen
I just won't retain a single thing
Go ahead and waste your time

about

Glenn Case Spokane, Washington

I write music.

I listen to music.

I genuinely just love music.

I have a song available in "Rock Band" and that makes me smile.

Yeah, I'm the guy who did the soundtrack for "The New Adventures of Captain S".

I probably release too many albums, but I do attempt to find a good balance between quality and quantity.

Thank you.
