Shades of Black
(Case)

[From the album "Greenwood Cemetery",
inspired by "The Dead Case", a Flash game by Zach Shaffer.]

I don't remember who I was,
or who I am right now.
If I am not mistaken,
I came from that hole in the ground.
So I died, but don't know who to thank,
and the tombstone's blank.
Waiting for an answer to appear.
Why am I still here?

[CHORUS]
I NEED A REASON!
I NEED AN ANSWER!
I NEED A PURPOSE!
DO I DESERVE THIS?
I CAME BACK!
ALL I SEE,
AND ALL I'M FEELING!
IT'S ALL UNEVEN!
I STUMBLE THROUGH SHADES OF BLACK!

Bored as hell,
I walk through people
as some sort of test.
Will they feel me there,
mistaking me for their cold breath.
Children sense my presence,
so I scare them when I can.
It makes me stronger,
but it doesn't make me understand.
[REPEAT CHORUS]

I don't remember who I was,
or who I am right now.
All I know is that I'm stuck here
In this little town.
I can only go so far
as if I'm on a leash.
I hope that something makes sense soon,
so I can be at peace!
[REPEAT CHORUS]

about

Glenn Case Spokane, Washington

I write music.

I listen to music.

I genuinely just love music.

I have a song available in "Rock Band" and that makes me smile.

Yeah, I'm the guy who did the soundtrack for "The New Adventures of Captain S".

I probably release too many albums, but I do attempt to find a good balance between quality and quantity.

Thank you.
