To Himself

from Lies by Glenn Case

/

about

As I age, I seem to want to withdraw from society as much as possible.

lyrics

To Himself
(Case)

He won't speak in haste
because he knows his place
It was kind of a waste
A waste of his time,
a waste of his words
and a waste of space

It was no surprise
The truths he spoke
would be mistook for lies
And, he had to break ties
Sure, there's compromise
but if nobody tries
then that path if unwise

Had to dodge them just like traps
Was never bothered much by that
They were not good for his health
So, he keeps to his plan
and he keeps to his word
and he keeps to himself

Why's he always gone?
They always thought
that something must be wrong
but, he knew all along
If his focus was strong,
then it wouldn't be long
and they'd be moving on

And after their dispatch
That would be the perfect time to crash
There were z's to go catch
Take out the trash,
put a hook to the latch,
game, set and match

Had to dodge them just like traps
Was never bothered much by that
They were not good for his health
So, he keeps to his plan
and he keeps to his word
and he keeps to himself
He keeps to himself
He keeps to himself

about

Glenn Case Spokane, Washington

I write music.

I listen to music.

I genuinely just love music.

I have a song available in "Rock Band" and that makes me smile.

Yeah, I'm the guy who did the soundtrack for "The New Adventures of Captain S".

I probably release too many albums, but I do attempt to find a good balance between quality and quantity.

Thank you.
