Over the Ocean

from Lies by Glenn Case

/

about

The music was recorded years before I completed the lyrics. I recorded audio of Brian C. Baer and I coming up with the words, and we knocked them out in around an hour.

lyrics

Over the Ocean
(Case-Baer)

Within the waves I stood
Was never very good
at holding my breath for a long, long time
Adrift, but far to go
to fight the undertow
It feels like I've struggled now
for days and days
submerged beneath the waves

I'm coming up for air and I'm
not sure if you're still there
or that ship has sailed
headed for lower tides
I wouldn't be surprised
I'm coming up for air and I'm
not sure if you still care
or that ship has sailed
over the ocean

As far as I can see,
no change in scenery
And I can't fathom where it goes from here
Afloat, at least for now
From port to starboard bow
I open my eyes and then I feel so small,
but getting through it all

I'm coming up for air and I'm
not sure if you're still there
or that ship has sailed
headed for lower tides
I wouldn't be surprised
I'm coming up for air and I'm
not sure if you still care
or that ship has sailed
over the ocean

about

Glenn Case Spokane, Washington

I write music.

I listen to music.

I genuinely just love music.

I have a song available in "Rock Band" and that makes me smile.

Yeah, I'm the guy who did the soundtrack for "The New Adventures of Captain S".

I probably release too many albums, but I do attempt to find a good balance between quality and quantity.

Thank you.
